Gilded Swing Frame Mirror

A vintage swing frame from the defunct Castner Company of Cincinnatti, Ohio, which dates to the early 1900s. P.H. Miller Studio procured many unfinished pieces then water gilded and toned them using traditional, heirloom quality techniques.

Drinking Tables with Gilded Accents

This drink table set was a gilding project commissioned for a Chicago residential interior design project. P.H. Miller Studio water-gilded the edge of these modern, macassar ebony drink tables with Caplain 20kt goldleaf. The tables were designed by WTGA William T. Georgis Architect, NY, and fabricated by Massachusetts-based VCA, Inc., custom builders of unique furniture and architectural millwork.

This fishy trio of koi came to P.H. Miller Studio in their original bronze finish. But, at the client's request, we gave them a facelift and covered them in stunning 23kt gold leaf for a wonderful look.

P.H. Miller Studio covered this modern weathervane in gold leaf and it took on a whole new patina and dimension of beauty.

A Golden Age of Music

This mahogany, ebony, and graphite electric violin was designed to James V. Remington and luthier, Barry Lipman, for violinist Alexander Markov. Commissioned by Mr. Markov, P.H. Miller Studio water gilded and burnished the violin with 24 carat gold over gesso and bole. What a way to make an impression on stage!
